...just waiting on a few show notes to put it up.

I'm recording next week, and I know of three things I'm going to get recorded. I've been delighted by the response to Sleep Ray, and I can't wait to get Intoxication and the other Robot files up.

Finally starting to feel better!

The last few days haven't left me with much to talk about, frankly. I haven't been trancing people very much and I don't have news to report on my projects. But it's so good to have energy back that I feel like I have to at least check in on the blog.

I am happier with how I've been posting a bit to the mailing lists lately. I am also happy that I got a podcast out last week, despite my feeling so awful. This week I'm going to be recording on hairbrushing and hypnosis, and then the next on ADD and hypnosis. Then the week after I might do a special Love Trance episode. I haven't done an induction in a while, and I miss doing them.

Of course I'm going to be recording some podcast stuff at FFF. I am trying to set up an interview with Doctor Slashblight, hypnotist and up-and-coming erotic hypno video producer. He's willing, it's just that I need to get time to record hammered out. The next week Copper will be in town, and with his voice and Jukebox's we might be able to do a story reading. That, again, is something I haven't done in a while and miss doing.

I am also looking forward to Valentine's Day. But more on that in future entries...

Wow, food poisoning SUCKS.

Really, really sucks.

But the new podcast is up, one of my pets wrote some really hot erotica for me, Copper will be here in a couple of weeks, and Sleep Ray will be out this weekend - Monday at the latest. So that's something! I'm in the process of cleaning out spam comments, and I plan to completely redo the podcast site over the next couple of months. It needs some love.

For now, though, offline to recover s'more. Did I mention food poisoning really sucks? :(

I updated my website last night to include the video of me on TV. Samples of Sleep Ray are going up in a little bit. I'm taking calls tonight and tomorrow, of course.

Thursday is the meeting of the Focus Group in Minneapolis. Email for details! :) We're doing an induction practice.

It always amuses me how, when I actually post to the lists, I get a small flurry of unsubscribes. And perhaps you might need to be on one list instead of the other, or on both.

The EMCpodcast list is a commercial-free zone (with the exception of FetishFriendlyPCSupport.com, because I think their service is of value to the sex-positive community and I don't get any favors for mentioning them). I may announce where I'll be speaking realtime about hypnosis, but it's the place I designated to talk about hypnosis in general. If people don't post to the list, they probably won't get a lot out of it.

The Realm of Bliss list is for what I'm doing, my services, and general chatter related to me specifically instead of trance in general. We may talk about trance in general there too, of course. I reserve the right to give notices about my products, services, and other stuff on there. :) In this case, too, how much you post will influence what you get out of it.

I admit to being bad with mailing lists. I'm enjoying twitter, because I like to chat, and if you're not following me there you might want to (I'm Ruetha over there). But I'm making a commitment to reviving these mailing lists this year. I'm also committing eight hours a week to the podcast - recording, editing, and posting. There WILL be more podcasts. Depend on it!

In the last two months...

I've been to North Carolina twice, presented at the first LeatherFET, waited for the birth of a family member, hypnotized my Chosen and pets, almost had someone walk in on me during sex, lost my voice, and worked on planning NEEHU2. I am so very relieved that the holidays are over!

I loved the presents I got from my Amazon wishlist for the holidays too. I am thrilled to have finally gotten the portable hard drive, some tights, a teddy, and a lovely velvet top/dress!

I am also getting ready to set up a home recording studio. WinterRose and RattieMattie showed me theirs, and it's quite a nice setup! It'll make it much easier for me to work from home. Podcasts and free recordings will become much more plentiful!

I am so happy to be past the holidays and back to regular work! The next meeting of the FOCUS group in Minneapolis will be Thursday the 20th of January. RSVP to me at ladyr - at - blisstrance - dot - com or on Fetlife in order to get directions!

Back Home Safely...

...and taking calls again! Look for me on the next few days and nights. I can't wait to get back to hypnotizing people!

This week I'll also be recording the NEEHU podcast, updating the list of hypnosis events, clearing out spam comments from the podcast page, and updating the website. And, with any luck, I'll have news on new recordings... just in time for USian Thanksgiving! :)

I have my plane tickets (and Jukebox's!) for NEEHU! Tickets are on sale here. This is going to be an incredible event, and the price is almost ridiculously low for the value.

This weekend I'll also be out of town on a project. I can't wait to share what it is, but since I don't know what I can say yet, I will say only that I'm really looking forward to it - and it has to do with robokink.

Yesterday I didn't post, but it was for good reasons. I recorded what might be the final of Robotics 1.03 and today I recorded the rough draft of one I'm calling "Sleep Ray." It's another fantasy, a very SF-type scenario.

What I shoulda done. :)

I should have taken a week off to regenerate my energy levels and get my head on straight. I didn't, of course, because I'm me. Heh.

I'm still lining up all my ducks. Please check the appointment calendar for open slots, but here is what my next few weeks looks like:

April 1-4: Frolicon - Atlanta, GA. Lots of hypno play and classes going on.
April 16-24: Spotty availability due to move. I will be on here and there, but no promises as to when. Please check!
April 30-May 3: Private function, Vancouver, BC.
Late May: Possible trip to Austin, TX.
June 2: Presenting in Minneapolis at The Lab.
First weekend in June: Wedding in Minneapolis.
June second weekend: Boston, Hypnosis UnConference. More details coming on this - I'm very, very excited!

In addition to this, I'll be wrapping up work on some CDs, recording more, podcasting, and working on my book. So yeah, I shoulda taken some time off. But I didn't yet, and I won't. Just bear with me as I get this show on the road!

A break from the con posts for a Real Life announcement!

Things are moving along on the personal front. It's looking like I'm moving to Minneapolis/St. Paul in late April, and in preparation for that I am quitting the old "day job" March 15 to go fulltime pro hypnoDomme and speaker. I have reached the point where I can do a day job or trance but not both, and given that I am burned out on my old job... hypnosis wins.

Every person who comes to hypnosis and hypnotherapy wanting to do it as a career comes to this point. I really had planned for it to happen long ago, but real life intervened. However, I know that everyone who goes pro fulltime does it as a job as well, and so I'm really only changing career paths.

I am in the process of updating the appointments calendar to indicate appointment blocks during the day, starting March 16. I am excited to be able to do this! However, there are some caveats:

I really want to get back into writing. I have two partially-finished books that need my attention. I could not give them that attention while working the day job. Now I can. But I need to set aside time to do that. Thus, there will be times each day labelled "NOT AVAILABLE-WRITING." If this is the ONLY time during the day you will be available to make a call to me, let me know well in advance. We might be able to work something out.

I also need to script and record, both CD/mp3s and the podcast. The podcast will go back to being at least a weekly affair, with the EMCSA update once a week and other topics every other week or more. To that end, there will be recording blocks scheduled at least once or twice a week. These will vary in length and time of day.

The good news is that this means I can be up a lot later. I am naturally nocturnal, and I really do believe that many of the health problems I've had the past few years are the result of forcing my body onto a "normal 8-5" schedule without regard to what it does best. My most productive hours are between 9pm and midnight, when it comes to writing, inspiration, and personal care. I do very well up to 2am. Having to be in bed at 11pm and up at 5am has just devastated me healthwise. I feel confident that with a shifted sleep schedule things will be much better for me - and that's taking the stress of becoming fully self-employed into account.

So: Everyone wins. I get my health and what passes for my sanity back. You get increased hours, more blog posts, more cds and podcasts and speaking engagements and you even get books and short stories!

But I can't do this without your support. Remember that the next year will stand or fall on your help: reviews in hypno-related forums, calling my lines, buying my cds/mps/books when available, posting to mailing lists (please not obnoxiously!), bringing me to your events to speak and play.

We're counting on each other here. My last few years have, quite frankly, sucked. But 2010 is starting off unbelievably. Let's make it the best year of the last five!

The new files will be the long-awaited Robotics 1.03: Skins and By Her Command: Peaceful Sleep. I can't tell you how excited I am about them! And I'm scripting Fm and Ff versions of Sleepy Surrender, Breast is Best, Sole Submission, and Fractionation Festival (although that last may end up being gender-neutral).

I'm also looking forward to the Virtual Hypnotist packs for those files to be released. Remember that the VHpacks are adjuncts to the mp3 files, designed to enhance, not replace.

Live appearances are still go, and I can't wait for FFF in ten days! I will be podcasting from there, so watch for that.

Today's present: A NEW PODCAST!!!

No, no, don't faint! But it's true.

There is a new Realm of Bliss podcast up!

The subject of this one is something that should come naturally on the Longest Night: Vampires!

The next holiday gift: Winter Wonderland, the original recording!

Back in 2008, I recorded Jukebox's gorgeous induction piece "Winter Wonderland." I made a few minor edits, but it's by and large as he wrote it. I set it up as one of the podcasts, and happily posted away.

Within a week, I was being more or less accused of being unethical because of some of the obedience suggestions in the file. (Note that I don't have any probems with grey_shadow's concerns - he was right to question if that induction was suitable for a general, possibly non-D/s oriented audience.) I took it down, edited it, and re-released an edited version. That edited version can be found here, but many people missed the original.

Here it is. Jukebox has again given consent for it to be posted. It will be available for at least a month unless DropBox shuts down my link for bandwidth... so go gentle, but do enjoy!

Liveblog event! Entrancement Video UK video

This Friday night, I'm going to liveblog as I watch Entrancement UK's Emily video. After that, I'm going to podcast a synopsis and my reactions for those who miss the liveblog. I think this is going to be a lot of fun, and it's a great way for me to get back into doing the podcasts. I've known Lex for some time, and I can't wait to see his work. He gave the go to this idea this morning, so we'll see how it goes.

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with liveblogging: A liveblog is when the blogger "blogs along" with an event as it happens. The blogger starts an entry, publishes it, and then adds on to it by editing the entry as the event unfolds. The blogger usually timestamps her additions as she adds on. By refreshing the page, people reading the blog can get a "live account" of what's happening. I prefer to liveblog instead of Tweet because, well, I might have more than 140 characters in a given comment and don't want to break them up too much, at least the first time.

Those who know me know I'm not usually a visual person. Because of that, I'm going out of my normal comfort zone on erotica - my usual favorite work is all auditory. (It's hard to get kinesthetic porn without actually being involved.)

Emily looks like she'd feel just nummy, though. She may be a model, but she looks like a real person along the way. I like my women to be soft and lush and I think she'll do the trick beautifully. If this goes well and Lex approves, I may go on to liveblog (or even Tweet, who knows?) other videos in the future.

Survival

Wow, two posts in two days. It's like things are slightly improving!

I got the updated CONvergence schedule, and there are five, count 'em, FIVE hypnosis topics... including adult hypnosis and a group session. This is fantastic. I am really looking forward to the con now! Today is the last day for prereg, by the way, so if you're considering... do it!

Crossing my fingers, but I really hope to get a podcast done this weekend.

Hectic, sick week.

Wonderful and yucky things all at one this week.

Yucky:

I think I have the flu. Not a G-I bug, I've been able to keep food down. But headaches, fever, achy body, wanting to sleep a lot and not able to sleep because of the fever. And I still had to go to work for my day job. I actually called out from doing things I wanted to do, including a meeting I should have attended. I haven't been to the gym since Monday. No podcast, either.

Thrall. My goodness, thrall. This is going to be so much fun. I don't expect to have another pet, since she's taken and monogamous, but the fun of training her and teaching her is beyond words. It doesn't hurt at all that I'm a huge fan of her writing. Some toys, you get to keep; some toys, you just borrow and give back. Don't worry, thrall fans: I'll take very good care of her!
